6 Books To Get Your Hands On

Current reading list
A couple of weeks ago, I was asked to share my reading list. So here it is! I have given my thoughts and a bit of description on each of the books below.
If you have read any of these books or read them in due time, comment below on which your favourite is. Or simply recommend any books you think I should read!

How to achieve glowy and hydrated skin

My bare face

I have been ready for summer for over a month now, but being that the weather in England does not seem to be on my wavelength, I have to accept that winter is not ending. Unfortunately for me, and most people I assume, cold weather is accompanied by dry skin.
It was not until last summer (July-August) when I traveled back home that I experienced excessively dry skin and hair, since it was winter there. I will address caring for natural hair in a separate post.

I thought it was perhaps the change in environment, but whatever it was, my skin was as dry as a bone. I tried all sorts of

Keep moving forward

Pick three words to describe the past year. I have seen the statement float around this past week and I have to say mine are; fruitful, fun and joyful. Looking back I have to say I can not complain and say I had a tragic year and I am thankful to God for that. I also have to thank the people who surround me for being great support systems in every small way possible.

I think I was more appreciative of every moment and tried not to complain much or dwell on the negatives. It however took a change of mindset because it is easier said than done to be positive in the midst of a challenge which I hope you all try. Spiritual growth was also one of my goals, I do believe I am in a better place as opposed to this time last year but there is still room for growth.

For 2018, I do not yet have specific goals apart from being more disciplined in terms of sticking to whatever goals I set out. As for everyone else I wish you all the best in everything you do, if you are going through a tough time trust me there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, just don't give up hope. It's also important to remember that you are running your own race in life. Lets all try to be kinder to those around us and avoid negativity, there is enough love and light to spread around.

 Happy New Year xx

What can you remove off the shelf?

Now that you have started thinking about minimalism, I want you to start cleaning out your surroundings. You could set a day out for this or do it over a week, just give yourself a timeframe so that you can get it done.

Tips to start cleaning out your space.

1. Have an open mind.
Remember minimalism is not just about tidying out your space but
rather getting rid of any items that do not have much value. It is

Minimalism

          Images by @zhuangzruii

I was thinking about what my next blog post would be about and eventually one word jumped at me, MINIMALISM. In simple terms, it is the removal of any thing that does not add value to your life, and I say "things" not "items" because I would like to challenge you to think of anything, including intangible objects, that you could get rid of before or during 2018.

If you take a look around your surroundings or the room you spend

Monday Motivation

I often do not like to view Monday's as gloomy days but rather, a fresh start to the week. It can be very hard to have such a perspective when everyone around seems down, however it is up to us as individuals to determine how we feel.

A few tips to have a better Monday

1. Start off by renewing your mind on Sunday

This could entail resting (not sleeping all day), watching or
